Our Beginnings
Crux Outdoors was founded in 2022 by Tom Giles, a seasoned adventurer dedicated to redefining the boundaries of outdoor experiences. Rooted deeply in Scotland, Crux Outdoors draws inspiration from the country's rugged landscapes and rich traditions of exploration. Tom brings a wealth of experience from his roles as a mountain guide, a dedicated member of Scottish Mountain Rescue, an international expedition leader, and an international disaster response operator with RE:ACT.

His global expeditions span from the towering peaks of the Himalayas to the dense jungles of Vietnam and the vast Zambezi floodplains. This extensive experience allows Tom to bring unparalleled expertise and passion to every adventure.
