Led by Tom Giles

Tom Giles is the Managing Director of Crux Outdoors Ltd, the company behind Crux Expeditions. He is a specialist in planning, managing, and delivering complex operations in some of the most demanding environments on earth. Places where the terrain, weather, and logistics leave no margin for error.

He has successfully led expeditions and operations across more than 20 countries, from the frozen Arctic and Himalayan high peaks to the jungles of Borneo and Central America, the deserts of North Africa, and the savannahs of Southern and East Africa. His career blends frontline leadership with strategic oversight, giving him a rare ability to design plans that work as well on the ground as they do in the boardroom.

His portfolio includes:

Leadership of extended expeditions in polar, mountain, jungle, and desert environments
Safety management and operational control for multi-week youth expeditions and large-scale charity challenges
Consultancy and on-location safety support for film and TV productions in hostile or logistically complex settings
