PPE Inspection

Current UK legislation, including the Activity Centres (Young Persons’ Safety) Act 1995, Work at Height Regulations 2007 (WAHR), and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), require that work at height equipment is thoroughly examined at 6 monthly intervals by a “competent person”.

The equipment considered as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) within the adventures activities industry includes personal fall protection equipment, buoyancy aids and water helmets used for activities such as climbing, mountaineering, caving, gorge scrambling and coasteering.
